I am a business leader. How can your horses serve me?
Our horses are a unique tool in the problem-solving toolbox. They are an essential component of lifting subconscious solutions to consciousness outside of the office. It is a simple process of actively recreating the moment that one might have in the shower or on the golf course or whilst driving, where a brilliant thought is lost because it could not be written down or was forgotten in the rush of the day. In the coaching arena we explore those matters that affect your company most and how to address them going forward. What is notable here is that the answers you find in the arena will not be the ones that you had in the office. |
I am a Psychologist/Social Worker. Can I bring my clients to you for an equine session?
Yes. This is our primary service. You would not require to be registered as an EAGALA certified practitioner to be able to make use of this service, but must be a New Zealand registered mental health professional. A meeting with Anne Vogel to discuss the role of the mental health specialist and the equine specialist in the therapy setting with the horses, is beneficial but not essential. Anne will give you feedback during the session and a report afterwards. You remain the primary contact with your client through the session. You can contact us to find out more |
I am a Psychologist/Social Worker/ Life Coach. How do I maintain client confidentiality in your sessions?
At Equine Interactive we follow the EAGALA code of ethical practice. We pride ourselves in maintaining a high level of professional integrity and respect the confidentiality of the client. The equine specialist in a therapy or coaching session does not have to have any background information on the client. This is the beauty of the equine model, as the horses are the true facilitators of the sessions, We include a confidentiality clause in our contract and also have a disclosure statement. |
I am a Life Coach.
Can I bring my clients to an equine session? Yes, this is our primary service. You would not be required to register or train as an EAGALA certified practitioner to be able to make use of this service. I can offer you single sessions for clients or a set of 4 or 6 sessions, depending on client needs. |
How much does it cost?
At Equine Interactive we are committed to delivering equine experiential learning to all. We are not a charity organisation, we are not a "not for profit" so our approach is to offer value to business clients and contribute 25% of proceeds from all business sessions to our community programs. Please contact Anne to find out more by using the email option on the contact us page. |
Do you teach horse riding?
No, we teach personal growth and experiential learning. All activities at Equine InterActive are conducted 100% on the ground. It's all about horses teaching people. Do I have to go into the arena with the horses?
We encourage everyone to participate by going into the arena with the horses. However, there are many ways to benefit even if one decides to remain by the fence. |
Why don't you use dogs or cats?
Dogs and cats are predators. At Equine Interactive, we understand that horses are social animals and they are also prey animals. Horses teach people about emotional awareness and leadership in ways unique to their species. We work with a herd and the herd "speaks". The role of the equine specialist in the team is to translate "horse" into "human" so that learning transpires. |
I am afraid of horses. Can I still do this?
There is always a choice. At Equine InterActive we are considerate of the emotions of both people and horses. It's what we do. Are you ready to face your fear? Only you know the answer to that. No one else can decide for you. We explore what fear is, and what anxiety is. We explore ways to overcome fear and anxiety. Are you ready to ask a horse to guide you through a journey of facing fear and empowering you to negotiate other challenges in your life? |
Horses are animals. What can they possibly teach me?
At Equine Interactive we are open to discovering new possibilities around animal intelligence. Horses are social animals. Horses are prey animals. They have evolved complex behaviours to support their herd and negotiate threats. They do this silently, without any verbal communication, but through clear understanding of emotion and body language. Horses teach people about emotional balance, resilience and how to develop respect and trust with others. Are you open to a whole new learning experience? |
